Autumn is not my favourite season, largely because it is all winding down to Winter, short days, grey days, cold days. However every season has its delights and the Autumn colours are the good aspect of Autumn…. finding some good edible fungi is another. Today its the colours and here is a slide show all taken in Ninewells wood.
Beech predominates but then again it is perhaps the most stunning.
Lovely colours, no ash or field maple in your wood?
No, there is a litlle Ash in Ninewells wood but not in my patch and unfortunately no Field Maple anywhere. It is beautiful at this time of year, We do have a small amount of Wild Cherry but no easily photographable leaves. Do I know you?/ Herts/essex????
